Finally
this is our last post for the Accounting
Information System (DAC2183) Mini
Blogging Project November 2012 Session. Starting from the first post until the
last post, it’s almost 3 months.
There
are many things that we have learned from this mini blogging project. When we
first started, both of us have no experience at all in creating a blog. We do read
people’s blogs and we heard friends creating their own blog, but never crossed
our mind before to create our own blog.
We
manage to create this
blog using information available on the Internet as well as with untiring
guidance from our lecturer, Mr.Noreffendy
Mohamed This
blog as can be seen, contains progress on our MSU UBS project as well as some
topics on the application of the Sage UBS Accounting System.
The
mini blogging project has given us many advantages. It has taught us on how to
reflect what we have studied in class and in tutorials and express it into
writing. It helps us to recollect what Mr. Noreffendy has taught us and present
the required information for each post in the blog. A few times we forgot what
has been taught by Mr. Noreffendy and we have to refer back the steps learned
in class from the workbook and the software application. This helps us to
remember back what steps we need to do.
In
addition, this blogging project has helped us improve our English even though
sometimes we make grammatical mistakes. We had tried our level best to think
and expressed in writing in English.
The
UBS Accounting System Project, which we have been reporting the progress and
some insights on this blog was very challenging for us. However we were very
glad that we manage to complete it successfully on time. Even though at the
beginning we encounter the difficulty in obtaining a company who is willing to
participate in the Project, we manage to proceed smoothly after getting the
source documents from the chosen company for the project (Setia Maju Mini Mart).
Through the UBS project, We have learned so much about implementing a
computerized accounting system using the Sage UBS software for a “real life”
company and how to overcome the problems encountered during the project. For
that, we are very grateful to be given the opportunity to do this project.
