UBS PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL FORM ....what is it all about?

The UBS Performance Appraisal Form is a form for the company to evaluate our UBS project. This form is to be given to the company after we have completed our project. The owner is required to fill up the form according to how he feels about the performance of the students with regards to the project. At the end of the appraisal, the owner has to sign the form and chop with the company stamp. All the evaluation provided by the company are confidential.

 

The appraisal form is divided into 2 sections; Section A : Student's Group Performance and Section B : Supervisor's General Comments.

 

The elements of appraisal in Section A are as below.

•  UBS PROJECT WORK QUANTITY
•  DECISION MAKING 
•  INITIATIVE 
•  TEAMWORK COMMUNICATION
•  CREATIVITY
•  PARTICIPATION
•  RELIABILITY
•  APPLICATION OF THEORY

The grading for each element ranges from 1 to 5; 1 being unacceptable and 5 being Exceptional. The owner of the company will then evaluate the students accordingly.

 

For Section B, the owner of the company has to provide written general comments and recommendations on the following items :

1. Company’s expectations from the group who had done the MSU-UBS CSR project. (whether our students meet your expectations)
2. Areas of improvements (i.e application of UBS software knowledge, communication, quality of group)
3. Have your company used any accounting software such as UBS before this in recording your business transactions?
4. Would you consider to install UBS accounting software to be used by your company in the future after the accomplishment of this UBS CSR project done by MSU students? Please explain why?

Performance appraisal is very important because our lecturer need to know the feedback from the company about the quality or our project and how well we perform. This performance appraisal contributes 5 marks to the overall markings for the project.

 

The evaluation made by the company on certain factors such as communication, oganization, quality of work, accuracy and others will help the students to know about their strengths and weaknesses while carrying out the project and will help them improve in the future.
